What is a social enterprise?
A social enterprise is a business that trades to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people access to employment and training, or to help the environment. Social enterprises can be both not-for-profit and for-profit but both are for purpose, and both apply commercial strategies to ensure they are a self-sustaining organisation that is not reliant on external ongoing funding.
Here are just a few local South Australian Social Enterprises – make the switch to the purpose economy today and vote with your dollars for a better world!
